Start a Confidential ODM Project
Start the conversation before sharing the sensitive detail.
Tell us what you want to develop in a non-sensitive overview. We can discuss your own NDA, agree how information will be exchanged and confirm the project terms before detailed work begins.
- Non-sensitive overview
- Mutually confirmed NDA
- Agreed project start
Arrange NDA review and signing.
Agree the confidentiality terms before sharing restricted project information. You may propose your own NDA; your project contact will coordinate the review, confirm the signing parties and arrange the agreed signing process.
Start with your NDA requirements
- Your preferred NDA or confidentiality requirements
- The project contact and proposed signing parties
- The signing method and sequence for exchanging project information
The NDA is signed through the process confirmed with your project contact.
Brief the whole production team before mass production
Before mass production, our production managers give all personnel involved in production a comprehensive confidentiality briefing based on the signed NDA.
- The confidential information and materials covered by the agreement
- The agreed limits on access, use and sharing
- Each person’s confidentiality responsibilities during production
Four steps to an agreed project start.
The first inquiry establishes a useful starting point. Confidentiality, the information exchange and commercial terms are then confirmed before detailed work begins.
Send a non-sensitive overview
Describe the product category, intended use, development stage and support needed. Indicate that an NDA discussion is required before detailed files are shared.
Discuss and confirm the NDA
Use your own NDA as a basis for negotiation if preferred. Both sides confirm the scope, parties and signing process; the NDA is signed separately.
Agree the information handover
Confirm the approved recipients, file list, versions, transfer channel, access needs and any special handling requirements before restricted information is exchanged.
Confirm terms and start
Agree the work scope, fees, customer-designated ownership, deliverables, handover formats, review points and project responsibilities, then authorize the agreed work.
A request to discuss confidentiality is not a signed NDA. This page explains the cooperation process. The RFQ option records your request; the NDA is negotiated and signed through a mutually confirmed process.
Enough context to start. Detailed files after agreement.
Use the existing RFQ for a concise first discussion. You do not need to disclose the technical solution or restricted commercial detail to explain the project’s general purpose.
Useful in the initial overview
- Product category and intended use
- Current stage: idea, existing design, prototype or production transfer
- General functions and the development or manufacturing support needed
- Target market and broad regulatory requirements, if known
- Approximate quantity, target timing and budget context, if available
- Your NDA discussion request and appropriate project contact
Share through the agreed route later
- Detailed CAD, drawings and complete specifications
- Circuit files, component details and restricted technical packages
- Source code, production firmware and encrypted programming packages
- Cryptographic keys or other provisioning materials
- Unreleased audio, artwork, packaging and product content
- Sensitive cost, purchasing, business or third-party information
Before the detailed exchange, identify which materials are needed for the next task and who may receive them. Use the mutually agreed channel and handling instructions, including separate arrangements for keys or other sensitive provisioning materials where required.
Open the RFQ with the NDA discussion option selectedTurn the discussion into a clear project agreement.
Confidentiality and ownership work alongside the scope and delivery plan. Confirm the decision points before starting the relevant development or manufacturing activity.
- Scope & responsibilities
- Define the product, required work, customer inputs, approved outside work and who makes each approval.
- Fees & ownership
- Confirm the one-time development fee, payment terms and the customer or customer-designated rights holder for the project results.
- Deliverables & handover
- List the files, formats, agreed source files, tooling and technical information to be delivered, with handover arrangements.
- Reviews & changes
- Agree the review gates, acceptance criteria, revision approvals, confidentiality requirements and change process.
Questions before you share the details
Clarify the protection, responsibilities and next step for your project.
Can we use our company’s NDA?
Yes. Your NDA can be used as the basis for discussion. Both sides confirm the terms, the appropriate parties and the signing process before execution.
Does clicking a button or sending an inquiry sign an NDA?
No. This page and the RFQ form describe and initiate a discussion. An NDA is separately agreed and signed through a mutually confirmed process; checking the NDA option is a request to discuss it.
What can we share in the first inquiry?
Share a non-sensitive summary of the product category, intended use, development stage, general functions, target market, approximate quantity and timing if known. Hold detailed drawings, source code, production firmware, keys and restricted commercial files until the exchange arrangements are confirmed.
When are fees, ownership and handover agreed?
They are confirmed in the project scope before the agreed work starts. Development ownership follows the customer’s designation. For joint development, once the agreed one-time development fee is paid in full, the results belong to the customer or the customer-designated rights holder. The handover list, formats and arrangements are also confirmed.
Begin with a non-sensitive overview.
Describe the product, your starting point and the support you need. Request an NDA discussion before sharing detailed drawings, programs, keys or restricted commercial information.
This link preselects the NDA discussion request in the existing RFQ. It does not sign an NDA or send an inquiry.
